Jerry Ray Callahan was born January 3, 1946 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Lillie Mae Callahan. He left this Earth on February 25, 2017 in Watonga, Oklahoma.

Jerry was raised in the Cromwell and Wewoka areas. He worked as a truck driver for many years hauling cattle and also in the oilfield. He later became a diesel mechanic.

Jerry married Patty Jo Throckmorton on October 22, 1969 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. They lived in Kansas and Oklahoma before making their home in Wewoka.

Jerry loved fishing, telling stories, people watching, spending time outside and watching his grandkids participate in activities. He also enjoyed joyrides with his friends. He loved to go driving and riding around.

Jerry was saved on February 16, 2017. He attended First Baptist Church in Watonga until he was unable due to his health.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Pat Callahan of the home; two daughters, Kristi Rinehart and son-in-law Neal and Kelly Callahan; son, Robby Callahan and daughter-in-law, Angela; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Callie, Caleb and wife Kelsey and Harley Callahan, Kagan, Joseph and Josey Rinehart and Morgan Poole;

Great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jaden, Logan and Nena; special family, Gary, Larry and Maritta; several nieces and nephews and a host other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie and mom and dad Eaton.

Jerry’s wishes were to be cremated. He did not want any services. His only wish was to be buried with his mother.

Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
