James (JW) Wade 59, long time Boise City resident, passed away September 22, 2019 at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma after a long battle with Glioblastoma. JW was born December 13, 1959 to Lowell and Anna Mae (Cummings) Wade in Lamar, Colorado. James grew up on the farm north of Campo. He graduated from Campo High School with the class of 1978. On May 25, 1979 he married Jan Beckett. To this marriage two daughters were born, Stacy and Alisha. He was also like a dad to Brent Trantham.
Having been raised on the farm early in his adult life, JW farmed with his father-in-law (Charles Beckett) and soon after purchased his own truck and drove for several years before becoming a driver for P – P Delco of Dalhart, TX. James never met a stranger and visited with people near and far while he was hauling cattle, pigs, equipment and sweet bran. When his illness made it impossible to drive his truck that he loved the most, his title changed to being fulltime PaPa allowing his precious Harp to stay at home with him instead of at daycare.
James is survived by his wife of 40 years Jan Wade of Shawnee, OK; daughters, Stacy and her partner Tiffany Gilkey of Keyes, OK and Alisha and her husband Juan (Nunni) Cerda of the home; his chosen son, Brent Trantham and wife Angela of Boise City, OK. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Harper Cerda, Megan and Paul Trantham, Kaydence Scribner, Toby Livesay and Trenton Gilkey as well as his furbaby Lily. He is also survived by sister, Elsa and her husband Bobby Bocock of Boise City, OK; brother, Denny Wade and his wife Dottie from Cherokee, OK and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins along with an enormous group of friends and acquaintances.
JW was preceded in death by his parents Lowell and Anna Mae Wade, a sister and her husband, Violet and Vernon Ellis; maternal and paternal grandparents as well as several stillborn siblings.
