Alan George Bowman

Alan George Bowman, Midwest City resident, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 75 after a long, hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Alan was born January 16, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa. He married Elta Lou (McEntire) on July 14, 1967 in Oklahoma City, OK.  He attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Alan worked as a machinist at Cooper Cameron for over 25 years. He liked to watch OU Football and all sports, game shows, listening to 60’s music and was good with history. He was a great loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Elta; children, Kimberly (Bowman) Tomer and husband Michael and Erica Lancaster; his father, Robert White; one brother, Bobby White; one sister, Gloria Rushing; grandchildren, Ashley Lancaster, Macey Lancaster, Natalie Tomer and Eric Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Lexie Gray, Addie Gray and Kinsley Gray and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean (Marshall) White.
