Amaul Jmale Scott, 49, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on April 11, 2026.
Amaul was born to Donnie Scott and Kathy Mechian and was also lovingly raised by Fred Mechian, who embraced him as his own son. Surrounded by love and guidance, Amaul grew into a man who deeply valued people, connection, and family.
He was known for his vibrant personality, kind heart, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Amaul had a natural gift for connecting with others and truly loved people, which led him to thrive in customer service roles throughout his life.
A jokester at heart and the life of the party, Amaul had a way of bringing laughter, light, and good energy into every room he entered. His presence was unforgettable, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Amaul leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jessica, his daughter Ja’ia; his born parents, Donnie Scott and Kathy Mechian, his bonus parents, Fred Mechian and Marcia Lee; his siblings, Sh’Lika Stroughter, Ebony Jones, ShaLonda Scott, Seyaneh Mechian, Ty King, and Freda Coleman. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We truly appreciate all of the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. We look forward to celebrating his life with you all.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7
