Amy Denise Sammons, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2024, at the age of 55, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 5, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amy spent her early years in Verdigris, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and later made her home in Yukon, Oklahoma, where she raised her family and built a life filled with love and warmth.

Amy is survived by her beloved children: Kayla, Kyle, Sydney, and Reilly. "Lolly" to her granddaughter, Charlotte Thornhill. Amy was the treasured daughter of Douglas and Judith Torluemke and a loving sister to Douglas and Daniel, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were as close as family.

Amy was a passionate fan of Oklahoma State University football, the Dallas Stars, the Kansas City Chiefs, and NASCAR. Her enthusiasm for sports was matched only by her dedication to her family and friends.

Throughout her courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, Amy was surrounded by the unwavering support of her family and friends, who will forever remember her strength, resilience, and the joy she brought into their lives.

….because, when I listen to the music, the world doesn’t hurt quite as loudly….

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Amy’s memory directly to the family for a tree to be planted near her grave.
