November 3, 1923 — January 19, 2015

Bee Valouch Prentice departed this life on January 19, 2015 in Norman at the age of 91.

She was born November 3, 1923, to N.J. and Mary (Hartman) Valouch at the family home on Cedar Lane in Norman, and attended White Mound School, Norman High School, and the University of Oklahoma.

She met her husband, Robert Edsall Prentice, during World War II and traveled with him during his Navy service.  After the war they returned to Norman for three years before moving to Midwest City where they resided for thirty years.  Bea was an active PTA member, serving in almost every office and chairmanships, including PTA President at Barnes Elementary and Carl Albert Junior and Senior High Schools.  She always participated in her children’s activities including Cub Scouts, Campfire Girls and Y-Baseball (scorekeeper).  She was a substitute teacher and secretary in the Mid-Del School system.

She and her husband enjoyed square and round dancing in numerous clubs in the area.  She was a gourmet cook, an avid Bridge player, and enjoyed singing with the Mid-Del Singers.  After moving back to Norman, she became a member of the CrossPointe Church where she sang in the sanctuary choir and attended the Believers Sunday School Class.  She dearly loved time spent with family.  Bee will be remembered most for her kindness to all and her great love of family.
