Billie "Bee" Faye (Manion) Cagle

January 4, 1953 — June 20, 2022

El Reno

Billie was a caring mother, Mimi, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and a beautiful woman.

Growing up as a farmer’s daughter, it was in her blood to love plants.  She knew all their names and communed with them.  After retiring from Halliburton, she completed the Oklahoma Master Gardner program and was very proud of that.

The joy of watching her garden grow, popping cherry tomatoes in her mouth from the vine and welcoming in all the pollinators, was such good medicine for her.   Butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds were some of her favorite garden visitors.

You would find her with her beloved companions Jackie O, and most recently, Girlie, spending time in her garden, watching football, sitting on her porch enjoying the Oklahoma breeze, having a tea party with her granddaughter or relaxing in a pool of water. She loved shopping whether she had the money or not.  And she loved her daughter Amanda, whom she considered her “gift from God”.

Spending time with her family and friends was one of her most cherished past-times.  Her friends were the family she got to choose and she held them close to her heart.

She had the gift of making people laugh, and definitely lived up to her nickname “Silly Billie”.  She truly was silly and she made us all smile.  She was an observer, a wonderful listener, a caregiver and a beautiful writer.

Today, she flies with the butterflies.
