Brianne AzureDee was born on June 12, 1979 to Duane and Ruth Holcomb in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She grew up in Carney, Oklahoma where she mothered her younger brother, Travis. As they grew up they enjoyed playing basketball, swimming and spending time in each other’s company and with friends.
One of Brianne’s happiest moments in life was when she had Lexi on August 8, 2004. Then she received a double blessing on November 5, 2005 when Kaden and Brinlee were born. As an adult Brianne spent eighteen years with her work family at Stillwater Medical Center, where she trained and inspired many, and will be sorely missed.
Brianne was known for her generous spirit, her determination, and her devotion to friends and family. Brianne’s determination can be seen in that while still working full-time and raising three kids, she was able to take care of her mother for four years until her death.
Brianne was always there for her friends, caring about their well-being and always willing to help them in any way she could. Everyone that knew Brianne admired her courage, strength, kindness and unconditional love for her children. Many people appreciated Brianne for how she taught her children to have loving, kind, and caring hearts that touched everyone they encounter.
Brianne’s greatest joy was seeing her children happy. For her entire life she was very active in her children’s lives, always putting them first. Despite her illness, Brianne spent the last few months of her life making memories with her children. They will always treasure those moments playing in the sand, taking road trips, and spending time with family and friends.
But most important, Brianne was known for her love of her God, Jehovah. She was baptized on July 18, 1992 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She continued faithful all her life and made it her priority to instill that same love in her children. Just weeks before her death she took them to New York to see the new headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was her faith that gave her hope, and her hope that gave her the strength to endure through her illness. Brianne will be missed immensely, and we long for the day when Jehovah will call her name to come out of the memorial tomb.
Brianne is preceded in death by her father Duane and mother Ruth Holcomb. She is survived by her three children: Lexi Rayne, Kaden Conner and Brinlee Carter. Also by her brother Travis, and her extended family.
