In Loving Memory
Carl “CD” Winter, 87, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was born September 22, 1929 to Franklin and Edith Winter in Enid, Oklahoma.
Carl is survived by his daughters, Barbara Myers and her husband Don of Plano, Texas, Sheryl Crumm and her husband Doyle of Perry, and a son, Dean Winter and his wife Susan of Edmond; three grandchildren, Marty Wayne Casteel II, Micheal Dean Casteel and his wife Crystal and Tyler Dean Winter all of Stillwater; and three great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Korbyn and Kyzar Casteel all of Stillwater; a sister, Elva Mae Branson of Perry, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Carl graduated from Orlando High School. He proudly served in the Army. He worked in the oil field for 30+ years across the state of Oklahoma until he retired as a tool pusher.
Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. He had race horses for a period of time which he greatly enjoyed. He loved animals and had many pets over the years. He loved to play cards and dominos. Carl never met a stranger and loved to lend a helping hand to friends and family.
A Tribute to the Life of Carl Winter will be held Sunday, October 2nd at the Orlando Community Center from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Judith Karman Bristol Hospice, LLC, 915 South Main Street, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074.
