Carol Ann (Leaverton) Dalke-Grounds

Carol Ann (Leaverton) Dalke-Grounds was born to Earl & Eileen Leaverton on May 1, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended and graduated from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1972, Carol married David Gene Dalke and from this union two daughters were born: Michelle and Doris. From a second union she also had a son, Matthew Dalke.

She has been described by everyone who knew her as a loving, generous, and soft-hearted woman. She was devout to her faith at the Kingdom Hall and always enjoyed attending her weekly meetings. She had a green thumb and enjoyed every chance she had to tend to her beautiful gardens, she even lived on a street called Lilly Garden Lane! When Carol was not gardening, she could be found watching her shows about redecorating houses, flipping houses or cheering on her OU Sooners and Thunder basketball team. But the prized pastime of her life was the precious time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was the rock of their world and will be greatly missed by each one of them.

Carol is survived by her daughters Michelle Dalke and fiancé Jeff Hewett, and Doris Crawford and husband Steve. Grandchildren Mariah Simpson, Kiya & Brooklyn Crawford. Mathias & Roman. She also leaves to cherish one sister Jeanette Leaverton.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1:45 and then 3 to 8:00 P.M.
