Carolyn Christy "Taz" Carver

Carolyn Christy “Taz” Carver passed away on Aug 7th, 2022, with her family and friends by her side, she was 57 years old. She leaves behind her beloved fur baby Brendelsocks. She is proceeded in death by her Mother JoAnn Carver as well as her sisters Diane Carver and Lynda Shafer, Uncle Don Vaughn, Aunt Carolyn Vaughn, Grandparents Ruth and John Johnson as well as her nephew Charles Wertz.
Chris was blessed with a large and loving family: Janie (husband Tony) Soto (daughter Kelly (husband Toby) Holloway, (children Slade, Michael, Colby, Dalton and Brittany). Sister Robin Wertz (children Ashley Wertz (children Ana, Amera and Tanari) and Christopher Wertz). Sister Traci (husband Caleb) Tackett (children Chelsea (husband Justin) Stanford and children Brody and Huxley, Anthony (wife Elizabeth) Putman and son Aidan).  Her nephews Jon (husband Shane) Melott (son Cole Melott), Jason Melott (son Connor Melott). Jerry Carver (fiancée Chrissy Martin). Also, uncle Johnny Vaughn and sister Linda “Shorty” Willsmitchell and Cousin Debbie Saunders.
Christy or Taz as many called her, lived a full life. She retired from The Sheraton Hotel as a maintenance engineer and in her early years loved working on cars. She deeply loved her family and friends and her animals. She was always up for a good barbecue, some 80’s music…she’d always call you on who sang it and what year. She enjoyed a night at the casino, watching old shows or just being with her friends. Chris was one of those people who would tell it like it is to family, friends and anyone she met. Chris was a character who was deeply loved by so many people, and she will forever be missed, and we will always have our stories of her to remember and share. We count it all as joy for having her present in our lives and we are grateful for the years God shared her with us.
No more wheelchair, no more pain... she is dancing on those streets of Gold, never to hurt again.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Penn Avenue Redemption United Methodist Church, 1320 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City.
