Chad Joseph Lambert, age 57, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born on May 30, 1968, and passed away on April 1, 2026.
Chad lived a life marked by humor, adventure, and a deep love for those around him. He had a spirited sense of adventure and was always drawn to experiences that were new, exciting, and breathtaking. Whether it was a trip somewhere unfamiliar or simply chasing a moment that made life feel alive, Chad embraced it fully.
Chad was an accomplished and well-respected Senior Design Engineer for Warren CAT in Oklahoma City since 2002. His work involved offshore and overseas installations of power generating equipment and electrical switchgear.
He loved his country deeply and carried that pride with quiet strength, earning him the affectionate nickname “Humble Patriot.” He was also known as a true Grill Master, bringing people together through countless family cookouts filled with good food, laughter, and connection—moments that will remain cherished memories for all who gathered around him.
This beloved man was preceded in death by his father John Eugene Lambert and mother Rose K. Nagle Lambert both of Gallipolis, OH.
Chad is survived by his daughter, Miranda Noelle Altom (31) and her spouse Gage Altom, along with his beloved grandson, Archer Dean Altom (2½ years old). He is also survived by his son, Jonathan Curtis Lambert (23).
He leaves behind his brother, Terrill Lambert of Gallipolis, Ohio; his cousin Beth Evans and her daughter Kim Ferris, also of Ohio; and his cousin Lisa Lambert McCain of Portsmouth, OH.
Chad was known for his love of humor, always ready with a prank or a joke. It was not lost on those who loved him that he answered the call home on April 1st—April Fools’ Day—a fitting reflection of his love of dark humor.
From his children: No greater father could we have known or loved. You were always there for us, and the void we feel now is one we will honor by holding tightly to the memories you made so special. You will always be with us. We love you to the end of countin’.
This isn’t the end, sweet father. We will be waiting for that special call—on you know what color phone. (wink)
