Christina “Chrissy” Lexus Banton was born to Laura Munn & Javon Banton on June 14, 1995, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She departed this life on July 4, 2025, at 30 years old.
From the age of three days old, Chrissy was in the care of her paternal grandmother, Rosalind “Duffy” Parks. From birth, doctors said “Chrissy would never walk and would have the IQ of an infant.” However, Chrissy loved to laugh, dance, and became a proud High school graduate with the class of 2017 from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Through Dale Rogers Training Center, she worked as a temporary food packer for the Oklahoma City Food Bank. Chrissy had a true passion for the color, Purple. All things that were Purple, belonged to her. Even if it was yours, in her mind, it was hers! Some may say she was mean, surely outspoken and a fighter. But those that loved her would say “she was crazy, silly but most of all, very caring.” She would always smile and sign “Are you okay?” Chrissy was fluent in sign language and would have a full conversation with you, whether you knew what she was signing or not. She loved spending time with her family & friends. Chrissy loved basketball, arts & crafts, and any kind of Ice Cream!
Chrissy is preceded in death by her baby sister Leonora Orr, her grandfather Secondo Sozzan, and great grandparents Mary Lee Hudson & Ilandthis Parks.
She is survived by grandmother Rosalind “Duffy” Parks, mother Laura Munn, father Javon Banton, siblings Lori, Angela, Leo III, Leora, Lorenzo, Loretto, Dante, & Javon, Jr., aunts, uncles, and a whole lot of cousins with a special connection to her cousin Tracie Morgan of Florida.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is in a better place. She will be truly missed by all that loved her and lets all keep her memory alive in our hearts.
