Dana Ruth Fletcher
December 13, 1971 — January 23, 2017
Dana Ruth Fletcher, 45, was born December 13, 1971 at Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was born to parents Rita Fletcher and Charles Crow of Cherokee, North Carolina. Dana attended Clinton Elementary School before transferring to Oklahoma City Public Schools.
She was raised by her aunt Georgia and uncle Michael Emhoolah of Oklahoma City. Daniel Magpie of El Reno, Frank and Joelle Sanders of Oklahoma City who also helped raise her. She enjoyed participating and assisting various families involved with the Cheyenne Sun Dance Ceremonies.
Dana is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Irene Fletcher Howlingcrane and her younger brother, Shannon Hicks HeapOfBirds.
She is survived by her mother, Rita Fletcher Oliver of Charlevoix, Michigan; daughter, Telisha Fletcher of Oklahoma City; grandson, Zedric Fletcher of Oklahoma City; siblings, Freedom Hicks HeapOfBirds, Chastity Hicks HeapOfBirds of Thomas, OK and Kyle Winstone of Charlevoix, Michigan. Other survivors include aunt and uncle, Michael and Georgia Emhoolah; sister, Stacey Lynn Fletcher of Tahlequah, OK; nieces, Clarissa Renae Peters of Denison, TX, Chelsea Lynn Peters of Tahlequah and a brother, Patrick Emhoolah II of Oklahoma City.
