Danny Joe Roberts

Danny, a cherished son, brother, grandpa, partner, and friend, passed away from cancer on December 20, 2023, at the age of 63. He was the second son of Warren and Christine Roberts born in Denver City, TX and resided in Oklahoma City, OK. He was celebrated as the first child born in Yoakum County, TX on January 1, 1960.

Danny graduated from Putnam City High School in 1978 and spent many years enjoying his passion for truck driving where he traveled thousands of miles and was respected for his hard work and dedication and made many friends along the way. He retired in November 2021, sold his home, bought an RV and property at Eufaula Lake where he and his partner, Janice, lived. He loved his newfound freedom and spent his time hunting, going to the lake, traveling, going to the casino and eating steak! He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Christine Roberts, and his older brother, Michael Roberts.

His memory will be honored by the love of his life, Janice Coley of Oklahoma City, OK, sister, Teresa Suitor and husband Bruce of Independence, MO, niece, Kelsey Nichol and husband Jacob of Lenexa, KS, nephew, Garrett Shoup of Independence, MO, step-sons, Bobby Oakes and wife Michelle of Oklahoma City, OK and Kevin Oakes and wife Melissa of Mustang, OK, step-daughter Paula Nunez and husband Danny of North Carolina, grandchildren Alyssa Weaver and husband James, Shelby Oakes, Clayton Schwarts, Jonathan Chandler, Brendan Nunez, Dominick Nunez, Londyn Nunez, great grandchildren Layla Weaver and Matthew Weaver and great nieces Ophelia Nichol and Everest Nichol.

Danny will be profoundly missed but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
