David W. Blevins

November 19, 1954 — April 10, 2015

David W. Blevins passed away on April 10, 2015, after a short illness, at the V.A. Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Miller High Life stock dropped sharply upon the news of his passing.

David W. Blevins entered this life on November 19, 1954 in Lindsey, OK.  Born to Kenneth Joe & Edna Arlene Blevins, he spent his youth in Purcell, OK with his siblings Terri, Louise and Shawn.

David joined the United States Air Force in August of 1973 and proudly served in numerous locations before leaving the service in 1981. His favorite location by far was Bremerhaven, Germany where he made numerous lifelong friends.

The apple of his eye, son Derek Joe, was born to Dave and wife Becky in 1987, joining step-daughter Laura.

He was employed in the security alarm business for over 30 years and was loved by every customer he served.

He cherished holidays, warm evenings, bonfires and beers with his dearest friends, “Brother” Danny and Cindy.

In April of 2012 he began a new journey with fiancée Shelly. Together they fostered, and then adopted their four legged fur kid, Pawzz W. Skagzz. Nothing made him happier than good music and dancing in the living room in his boxer shorts.

David will be greatly missed by a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel. Sam Turnbow will be officiating the services. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
