David Ray Hussey

December 27, 1954 — May 21, 2015

David Ray Hussey was born December 27, 1954 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to William and Bobbie (Taylor) Hussey. He passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 60.

David graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1972. After graduation, David enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. He was an underwater welder.  David received an honorable discharge after six years of service.

David married Marsha Cottrell and to this union two children were born, Heidi Larae and Samuel David.

David is survived by his mother, Bobbie House of Oklahoma City; his father, William Hussey of Wynnewood; daughter, Heidi Larae Hussey of Ardmore; son, Sam Hussey of the home; brother, Don Hussey of Wynnewood; brother and sister-in-law, Bob Hussey and his wife Rissa of Richardson, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Diane Freeman and her husband Jim of Sulphur and sister and sister-in-law, Terra and Hayley Frost of Carrollton, Texas; nephews, Scott Freeman, Cale Freeman, Colin Hussey, and Cooper Frost; nieces, Staci Bettes, Danea Ray and Megan Spina and lifelong friend, Vickie Goodwin.

Davis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Verna Hussey and maternal grandparents, John and Greyce Taylor.

David had a love for all people and never met a stranger. He was a great friend and will be forever missed.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel with Linda Murphy officiating.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
