Oklahoma City

Debra “Debbie” Ann Lisle passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 11, 1954, in North Platte, Nebraska, Debbie spent much of her life in Moore, Oklahoma, before settling in Oklahoma City to be closer to the people who mattered most to her—her brother, sister, daughter, and grandchildren.

Debbie was the daughter of Geraldine Elisabeth Gesell and Obert Don Collins, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doneen Collins.

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Ann Grissom; her beloved grandchildren, Mara Ann Grissom and Nolan Riley Grissom; and her brother, Don Collins.

Debbie spent her career in the hospitality and travel industry as a travel agent, a profession well suited to her independent spirit and love of finding “the perfect spot” like she did with Tara and Rolan’s Mexico trip, the family lake cabin adventures, and Tara and Riley’s engagement spot at Lake Tahoe.

More than anything, Debbie treasured her family. Some of her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren, who held an especially special place in her heart. Weekends often meant heading out to garage sales with her brother and sister, searching for the next great find and enjoying one another’s company along the way. Holidays meant being surrounded by family—the people she loved most.

Debbie was funny, stubborn, outspoken, and fiercely independent. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and those who knew her always knew where they stood. These qualities were simply part of what made Debbie who she was. She brought laughter, personality, and a presence that will be impossible to replace.

Her life will be remembered not only in the years she lived, but also in the ordinary moments that became treasured memories: weekends spent garage-sale hunting, holidays together, laughter shared with family, and time spent loving and enjoying her grandchildren.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her daughter, grandchildren, brother, extended family, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but the memories, laughter, and love she gave her family will remain with them always.
