Deidra Jo “Dee” Byndom, longtime Oklahoma City resident, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2015 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 64.

She was born February 4, 1951 in New Castle, Indiana to Flenor O’Dell Ragan and Lelah Vivian (Lamb).

Dee married Donnell Byndom and they were married for over 28 years.

She was a loving homemaker, loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed helping others.

Dee was an above average bowler in her younger years. She enjoyed going fishing, watching basketball games and watching Nascar races. Her favorite racer to watch was number 88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Dee enjoyed going to church and was very active in the church before her illness. She was well liked by her church family.

Dee was a good friend of Bill W’s and had many friends of Bill W’s for over 20 years.

She enjoyed talking to her family, especially her daughters and was always checking on the well-being of her grandchildren.

She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Dee is survived by her husband of over 28 years, Donnell of the home; daughters, Candi Shelgren and husband Devin, of Austin, TX, Brandi Griffin of Lago Vista, TX and Tamara Graumann and husband Lee of Del City, OK; sister, Brenda Palmer of Slaughterville, OK; grandchildren, Erica Ragan, Ragan Shelgren, Brodie Shelgren, Patrick Graumann, Amber Griffin and Brittany Simmons; several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flenor O’Dell and Lelah (Lamb) Ragan; one brother, Dale Lee Ragan and one sister, Jackie Acosta.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Community of Christ Church in Del City with Elder Shirley Clevenger officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
