Randell "Randy" Felton

July 7, 1946 — November 26, 2025

Edmond

On November 26, 2025, Randy Felton heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” from his Savior as he left this earth and united with Jesus face-to-face.

Randy, or Ran-Ran as he was known to his grandkids, loved the Lord and his family more than anything. Born on July 7, 1946, in Oklahoma City, he led a full life. Raised in a Christian home to parents Dewey and Mary Ellen, he came to faith in Christ as Savior at a young age, but it wasn’t until his twenties that he began to follow Jesus as the Lord of his life.

After graduating from high school, Randy enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard where he served for six years in Company D of the 700 Support Battalion in the 45th Infantry. He then went on to work selling oil field equipment and laying tile, before returning to his first loves…Jesus and serving. He then graduated from Florida Theological Seminary in 1998 with a degree in Biblical Studies.

Randy met his forever love, Betsy, in 1979 after Randy’s mom and matchmaker, Mary Ellen, realized they would make the perfect match. She was right.

Randy and Betsy spent many years raising their boys, Matt and Andy, and serving the Lord. Starting Potter’s Clay in 1994, Randy led many mission trips to Africa and New Mexico where the team evangelized to the locals. Randy’s favorite mission trips included those to Mexico where he and the team-built homes for people living in cardboard boxes, and regular trips to Israel where his love for the Jewish roots of our Christian faith grew.

He was a Ministry Founder, Missions Leader, Member of Mensa and a Bible Teacher, but his most favorite roles were as faithful and loving husband to Betsy and proud father to his boys. One of his greatest legacies is the love of Jesus that he passed down to his boys, which is still bearing fruit in the lives of their families today.

Loving all things cars from a young age, Randy’s favorite pastimes included working on cars, going to Bonneville Salt Flats where he enjoyed his friendships and sharing Jesus, and collecting Hot Wheels.

Randy will be so missed by all who knew him. His family remains at peace knowing he is now in the loving arms of his Savior and that they will see him again one day.

Randy was predeceased by his parents, Dewey and Mary Ellen Felton, and sister, Rita Claire Sewell. He is survived by his adoring wife, Betsy, son Matt Crum and his wife Andrea and their two boys, Drew and Tyler of Farmersville, TX, and son Andy Crum and his wife Ainslee and their daughter Caroline, her husband, Graeson Stillwagoner, and their boys Hudson, and Grayson of Edmond, OK, along with many other extended family and friends.
