Dolores Helen Wilson passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 89.

She was born April 26, 1927 in Humboldt, Kansas to William Grant and Loraine Jane (Pettit) Ray. Dolores studied Pharmacy at the University of Oklahoma where she begun to love OU Football. She married George E. Wilson and along with owned and operated Ace Janitorial Service for many years. Dolores was the Assistant Parade Marshall at the Oklahoma State Fair for 25 years. She was the Secretary and Treasurer of the Sooner Saddle Club. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially solitaire. Her favorite food was anything chocolate and she loved her chocolate covered cherries. She had a love for animals including horses, cats and dogs. Dolores loved to travel in her RV. She was strong-willed, caring, loyal and full of love. Dolores was a spitfire. The one thing that brought her much joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was often found peeling apples for her great-grandsons, Andrew and Austin.

Dolores is survived by her husband of over 56 years, George E. Wilson; two children, Grant Wilson and wife Marti and Gail Pierce and husband Gary and their four children, Terra Walker and husband JJ and their two children; Sara Brown and husband Jeff, Amy Pierce and Destiny Pierce; step-son, John Edward and his daughters, Jonnie, Kelly and Megan; nephew, George Robert Wilson and wife Chrissy and their two children, Devin and Mary; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Loraine Ray.
