Don went home to be with our Lord and Savior on May 22, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 19, 1937, to Jimmie Eugene and Mabel Mae Fleming. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1956. He was drafted in the United States Army on December 8, 1960, and was discharged honorably on December 7, 1966. He spent his active-duty career time in Germany. He made his home in Norman, Oklahoma for 60 years and recently moved to McLoud, Oklahoma. Don was a Journeyman Electrician for OG&E and then was an electrician contractor for OU Health Science Center/OU Medical Center for 42 years until he retired in 2005. He met his wife, Vera Fleming, at OU in 1992 and they were married February 17, 1994. Don and Vera were very active in the GWRRA Chapter N motorcycle group. Don and Vera traveled to all the lower 48 states on their motorcycle without any incidents. They were named Couple of the Year and was later named the coordinator for the District Couple of the Year Program. Even after Chapter N dissolved, they continued to meet on Tuesdays with members of the group for dinner. They later joined Oklahoma Traveler’s camping group and toured all over the United States.  Through these groups, Don and Vera made lifelong friends and the friends became like family to them. Don and Vera enjoyed going on cruises and went on seven cruises with his favorite cruise was going to Alaska which they did twice.  Don was a man with a big heart and was always willing to go on the next adventure. His family was the most important thing to him and he lived to make sure they were all well taken care of and was loved.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Jimmie and Mabel Fleming, his brother Larry Fleming, brother Bob Fleming, brother Jimmy Fleming, and son-in-law John Knapp.
