Donald Lamar Lindquist, longtime Oklahoma City resident, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at his residence in Oklahoma City at the age of 70.

He was born April 29, 1947 in Lindsborg, Kansas to Martin L. and Velma (Yordy) Lindquist. After high school, Donald was drafted into the United States Navy. He served his country during the Vietnam War. Donald received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He received an honorable discharge on Nov. 10, 1969.

Donald continued his civil service and went to work at Tinker Air Force Base. He retired from Tinker after 37 years of service. Donald was a loving and devoted man to his family and his church, Wickline Methodist Church, where he was a member for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Velma (Yordy) Lindquist; children, Jason Lindquist and Michelle Monson and husband Josh; brother, Robert Lindquist and his wife Irene; grandchildren, Dylan Lindquist, Zachary Bankston and Shane Bankston; niece, Sherry Hoffman, nephew, Ken Lindquist and a host of other family and friends.
