Donnia Lee Simon, 56, of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on August 19 of an unknown causes.
Donia was born on July 11, 1967, to Richard Weirick and Joyce Trussel in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She graduated from Norman High School.
In 1983 Donnia became a mother. Destiny Ann was born, and Donnia decided then to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. This role was her greatest passion in life. Donnia had three more children; Edmond Allen, Brendon Kyle, and Kayce Shane, and they all had the distinct honor of calling her momma.
Later in life, she found a passion for Nursing and earned licensure from Platt College. She devoted her life to putting others before herself, so nursing was the perfect profession for her. Donnia excelled at propping other people up and supporting their dreams. She helped them navigate love, loss, and struggle. Whether that was supporting Destiny, who was balancing being a good wife and mother, supporting Edmond with his military career, helping Brendon get his business started while working tough jobs to provide for his kids, or helping Kayce discover his passion. Donnia's personal mission was always to enrich the lives of others.
Donnia was a passionate mother, nurse, artist, interior decorator, and chef. When she wasn't filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found driving dirt roads blasting country music, fishing on the lakes, drinking a cup of coffee while writing her deepest thoughts, or checking in on someone in need. We will miss her greatly.
Donnia is preceded by her biological father Richard Weirick, adopted father Edmond Trussel, brother David and sister Vita.
She is survived by her mother Joyce Trussel, children Destiny, Edmond, Brendon, and Kayce, grandchildren Boston, Gabriel, Ladonna, Tatiana, Xavier, Jacop, Adrian, Liam, Samuel, Norelle, Jade, Tristan, Crowley, & Layla, great-grandson Di'aundre, sisters Brenda & Kemberly, brother Landon, and so many others who had the honor of calling her "Momma". For those not mentioned, know that Donnia had nothing but unending love in her heart for you.
