Douglas "Doug" Ray Dixon passed away on August 17, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 53.
Doug was born to Ross John Dixon, Jr. & Margaret Dixon on December 29, 1971 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Doug often talked about the many great memories he formed in his youth. He attended concerts (even got to see Neil Diamond), trips to the lake with family & friends, and growing up in Mesta Park, where he made lots of memories with childhood neighbors & friends. Doug graduated from Northeast Highschool with the class of 1990. He married the love of his life, Tracie, in 1997 and to this union his beloved children were born, Elijah & Eileen, which made his world complete. Doug enjoyed spending family time by watching movies and just spending time with his family, friends, and his fur ball chip. He loved to sing songs, to laugh and just be silly. He also enjoyed taking trips to Arizona, Ohio, and Texas where he could spend more time with his family.
"Doug's presence and sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone around him. He will be remembered for the joy that he brought to all of us."
Doug was preceded in death by his parents Ross John Dixon, Jr. and Margaret Hyatt Dixon.
He is survived by his wife Tracie Dixon, son Elijah, daughter Eileen, sisters Deanne Dixon & Danielle (Jason) Webb, nephew Matthew, brother Dwight Dixon, numerous aunts, cousins, and additional family members. Special mention to Kevin & Linda Gibbons, Blake Penn & Family, the Tucker's, the Mach's, Silverstein's, and the Mesta Park Crew. So many people that touched Doug's life.
In Loving Memory of Our Wonderful Brother
Of all the special gifts in life
however great or small,
to have you as our Brother
was the greatest gift of all.
May the winds of love blow softly
and whisper in your ear
"We love and miss you Brother
and wish that you were here"
Deep in our hearts, your life is kept to love and cherish,
not forget. No more tomorrows we can share
but yesterdays are always there.
A silent thought, a secret tear
keeps your memory ever near
in our hearts forever.
