Douglas was born on March 7, 1965, to Lois (Allen) Mills, in Oklahoma City.
Doug was adopted shortly by Charles Mills who married Lois in 1971.
While growing up, Doug’s favorite place to be was in Eastern Oklahoma with his maternal grandmother, Maw where he fished constantly. Doug graduated from Del City High School in 1983. The following year, in 11/1984, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he learned trade skills as a mechanic repairing construction equipment. After his honorable discharge, in 11/1988, Doug struggled with his mental health for the remainder of his life. His best and biggest contribution to society was his son, Brandon.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Mills; brother, Chuck Mills.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Jarrell (wife Andrea); two grandchildren, Lincoln and Boomer Jarrell; a sister, Kimberly Waller (husband Sean); two nieces, Jessica and Ashley Waller and many cousins.
