Douglas Earl Johnson, of Oklahoma City. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 6, 1959, to his late parents, Doris and Eddie Johnson.

Douglas accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church in Tulsa, where he was raised. He attended McClain High School in Tulsa, where he was a gifted athlete, playing football, wrestling, and boxing. His remarkable speed on the field earned him the nickname "Speedy." A lifelong learner, he later obtained his GED.

His strong work ethic was evident throughout his life. He worked for Oklahoma Steel and Greyhound in Tulsa, and WW Steel in Oklahoma City. He moved to Oklahoma City in 2012, where he worked for NewView for 11 years until his passing. Douglas was on NewView Row team and completed competitions with his team! Known for his warm smile and love for the Lord, he looked at everyone as his brothers and sisters in Christ.

He was a devoted father and grandfather, and his family was his greatest pride.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Eddie Johnson and sister Wonder.

He is survived by his four children: Taisha, Talithacumi, Douglas, and Telitha; his eight beloved grandchildren; Dequayveon, Kitana,Chandlin, Shontaya, Kyjuan, Jamal, Daneajyia and Jakaya and his loved 2 great grand children; his siblings: William, Kurk, Johnny, Raymond, Beverly, and Wonder; his aunt, Claudia Law of California; his uncle and aunt, Joseph and Janice Cobb of Oklahoma City; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
