Evelyn Y'vonne (Wyrick) Heathcott
September 29, 1947 — December 4, 2016
Evelyn Y’vonne Heathcott, longtime Seminole area resident, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Alliance Midwest Health Center in Midwest City at the age of 69.
She was born September 29, 1947 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Glen Franklin and Helen Marie (McMullin) Wyrick. Evelyn graduated from Wewoka High School.
She married Joel Heathcott on November 23, 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Evelyn worked as a Legal Secretary for over 30 years having spent many of those years with Elsener and Cadenhead, Attorneys at Law. She later retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Wewoka.
Evelyn is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Gina Heathcott; one brother, Ronald Wyrick and his wife Sue; two sisters, Annetta Ward and Linda Guild and husband Fred; grandchildren, Maile Ryherd and husband Jared, Bethany Christiansen and husband Seth, Noah Heathcott and Jake and Langston Heathcott; one great-grandson, Dane; three nephews; two nieces and a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Helen Wyrick and one son, Christopher R. Heathcott in 2009.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Wetumka City Cemetery with Father Joseph Schwarz officiating.
