Gregory Steven Riddles

May 10, 1964 — June 24, 2025

Oklahoma City

Gregory Steven Riddles, known affectionately as “Bubba” by his younger brothers, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Oklahoma City surrounded by family who loved him deeply. He was 61.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 10, 1964, Greg was a man of steadfast loyalty, quiet generosity, and unwavering devotion to those around him. He made a career out of figuring out how to apply his talents to the specific needs of his employers, and he earned a reputation for revitalizing struggling operations and turning companies around. His adaptability, intuition, and work ethic made him a valued force wherever he landed.

A gifted athlete throughout his life, Greg especially loved baseball and golf. But perhaps even more, he loved showing up for people—off the field and off the clock. He was an active member of a twelve-step program and celebrated many years of sobriety. He believed wholeheartedly in passing on what had been so freely given to him, and he served as a sponsor and mentor to many, offering support, accountability, and hope.

Greg was a devoted son, a source of strength and pride for his father John. The bond they shared was rooted in loyalty and quiet understanding that endured through every chapter of life.

He was also a fiercely loyal brother and friend. He treasured the friendships he developed over the course of his life with many of them spanning more than 50 years. He fully embodied the role of a big brother to Todd and Heath, offering guidance, humor, protection, and love with a steady hand and an open heart.

Above all, Greg loved and was loved. His relationship with Alicia Ann Gudgel brought deep meaning and tenderness to his later years. He embraced Alicia’s children and grandchildren as his own. He had a gift for making people feel seen, supported, and safe, especially so in the quiet everyday acts of care and love he gave to the family and friends around him.

Greg will be deeply missed by Maegan Gross, who he loved as his own daughter, and her son Greyson who knew him as “Pawpaw.”

Greg is survived by his father, John Riddles and John’s partner in life Lois Conway; his brothers Todd Riddles of Oklahoma City and Heath Riddles of Austin, Texas; his partner in life Alicia Ann Gudgel; his nephew Travis Heath Riddles; his niece Susan Nicole Riddles, Alicia’s children and grandchildren: Elizabeth Hanna Gudgel, Ethan Dane Lee, Karleigh Elizabeth Lee, Kendallyn Ann Lee, and Easton Ray Lee, all of Oklahoma City.

Greg is now with God and his beloved mother, Hilda Riddles who he has been missing dearly since she went to be with God on January 6, 2017.

Greg, you were deeply loved, and you will be sorely missed.
