Minister H. James Thomas passed away on June 21, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Born on November 4, 1958, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Minister Harold J. Thomas was a devoted family man, known for his generous spirit, great sense of humor, and exceptional cooking skills.

Minister H. James proudly served in the Army for over 14 years, dedicating much of his life to military service before transitioning to roles as a Drill Sergeant, a U.S. Postal Supervisor ,and an active community volunteer. As an ordained minister of the gospel of Church of Deliverance in Junction City, Kansas and Bread of Life in Georgia. He shared his faith with family and community, leading them to Christ. His commitment to service and leadership left a lasting impact on many.

He was a lifelong learner, having attended Green Oaks High School and later Cameron University. Minister H. James faith played a significant role in his life, and he was a dedicated member of the International Spirit of Life Ministry, which his wife, Elder Jane Thomas, founded in 2009. They also founded Strasbourg Full Gospel Service in Idar-Oberstein, Germany in 1987.

Minister H. James's personal hobbies included cooking, playing the piano, taking long nature walks, and spending quality time with his loving family. 

He is survived by his wife, Elder Jane Ann (Dennis) Thomas, and their children Melonye, Mindy, retired Air Force 1st Sgt. Jammie, Army veteran Joshua, Tammy, Timothy, and Jasmine. His grandchildren, Justin Cummings and Cyana Thomas. His son in law, Arthur Redmon and Daughter in law, Songhee Thomas. He also leaves behind his siblings Minister Leon, Eddie, Kathy, Regina, Chris, Anita Thomas, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Dorris Thomas.

His legacy of love, laughter, and service will be remembered by all who knew him.
