Howard West

Howard West, 74, of Oklahoma City passed away suddenly at his home on December 15, 2016.
Howard was born May 5, 1942 in Lake Providence, LA to Houston and Jane (Capehart) West. After graduating from Bethel (OK) High School, he worked in the oil & gas industry primarily as a landman before retiring in 2007 from Cameron International Corp.
He is survived by three sons: Chuck West (Steve Kellogg) of Dallas, TX; Rory West of Shawnee, OK; and Kirk (Melissa) West also of Shawnee; four grandchildren: Scott, Bryar, Braxtyn, and Brooklyn as well as two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Bryson. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews including “The Girls” (Janie Adkins, Cheri Anop, Gail Pianalto, Linda Ragsdale and Susan West) who spent many a Memorial Day tending the family plots with Uncle Howard.
He is preceded in death by his parents and six older siblings. A casual graveside memorial will be held at 3PM Sunday, May 28 at Denver Cemetery east of Norman.
