Message to my daughter:
To my beloved daughter. I want you to know that I made it safely. I have arrived. I am in a better place. I am closer to you than I ever was. When you were in my wound you were able to hear my heart beat. My heartbeat was your comfort. The tables have turned my love. I am now able to enjoy the sound of your heartbeat. I now live within you. I am with you every step of the way. Dad and I are so happy to be reunited. We want you to know that we are watching over you and we love you infinitely.
I am in a better place,
Although we seem far apart,
I am closer than I ever was…
I am there inside your heart.
I am with you when you greet each day
And while the sun shines bright.
I’m there to share the sunsets too,
I’m with you every night…
The rainy days we endured…
The joyful times we shared
Just look inside your heart
and you will find me there.
Message to my family:
Don't grieve for me, from pain I'm free
I'm following the path God has laid, you see.
I took his hand when I heard his call
I turned around and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found the peace on a sunny day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A family shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good family, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seem all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee.
God wanted me now, I'm free.
