James Alvin Barnett

James Alvin “Bo” Barnett was born the third child of five to Grover C. and Ella Mae (Johnson) Barnett on March 15, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He departed this life on December 31, 2019 at his residence in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

James is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one brother, his daughter, Exzetta Jr., and a niece, Cynthia Courtney.

James accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Church of the Living God.

James attended Oklahoma City Public Schools. He enjoyed skating, dancing and working on cars. He also worked and later retired from Oklahoma Waste Management.

James leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters, Sherri, Rolanda and Shannon; his two sisters, Exzetta and Pinkie Barnett; one brother, Walter Barnett; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel, 2415 N. Walnut Ave, Oklahoma City with Pastor Allen R. Threatt, III officiating.
