James C. Pierce

December 25, 1951 — July 22, 2015

James C. Pierce, longtime Oklahoma City resident, passed away July 22, 2015 at his residence at the age of 63.

James was born December 25, 1951 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Ernest and Stella Aline (Lane) Pierce. He was raised in Wright City, OK and later moved to the Tulsa area where he attended Sapulpa High School.

James worked at Evans Box in Tulsa. He met Karen Humphrey and one month later they were married on April 19, 1980 in Tulsa.

James obtained his CDL and began driving a tour bus. Karen and James moved to Shawnee and later on to Oklahoma City. He began working at the local Texaco convenience store and became Assistant Manager. James later worked his way up to Manager when the store switched over to Shell.

James loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and also enjoyed some home brewing of beers. He loved to play video games and enjoyed social networking with his family and friends on his computer.

James most important trait was his faith and love for God.

Surviving James are his wife of over 35 years, Karen Pierce of the home; one brother, Gib Pierce of Tulsa; one sister, Mary Bean of Broken Bow; a daughter, Liberty Pierce; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Bailey; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Pierce; mother, Stella Aline Roson; two brothers, Mack and Junior Pierce; one sister, Evelyn Myers and his Aunt Pearl and Uncle August whom help raise him.

Memorial services will be held at The Threshing Floor Ministries, 7613 NW 23rd, Bethany, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 3:00 P.M.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
