Janice "Todie" Evonne (Gay) Franklin

Janice “Todie” Evonne Gay Franklin was born in Hobbs, NM, to Janice Ann Goree and Joel B. Gay on July 6, 1975, and went to be with our Lord on May 23, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Franklin, son, Daray Allen Franklin, mother, Janice Ann Goree, sister, Sharon (Ronnie) Haynes, and brother, Shannon Goodson, other children, Crystal Radi (4 grandchildren), Carl “Keeb” Morgan (Gloria, five grandchildren), Joshua Weldy, Joann “Ma” Morgan (4 grandchildren), and Danny “DJ” Ray Franklin, Jr, (1 grandchild), and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Gay, father, Joel B. Gay, and son, Tony “Pa” Morgan.

Janice started her adult life studying at Job Corps in Albuquerque, NM, and then worked multiple jobs until she found her calling as a caregiver, but more than that, she was a wife, mom, sister, daughter, auntie, and friend. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family, testing her luck at the casino, telling a good story to make you laugh, traveling, and watching a good movie. We would be amiss not to speak of her ornery ways. Even so, many family and friends love Janice, and this loss is heart-wrenching and deeply felt.
