Jim Henry Patterson

Jim Henry Patterson was born July 6, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bernice Patterson and Troy Mosley. Later on to this union, four children were born: Troy Lynn Mosley, Gerald Thomas Mosley, Lillie Margaret Mosley Houston and Roberta Karlene Mosley.

Jim graduated from Douglass High School in 1971. He was a faithful member of Loving St. James Baptist Church from 1972 until 2019, under Pastor Emeritus Willie B. Pastor and Pastor Edward White. In 2019, Jim became a member of Compassionate Church Ministry under Rev. Dr. Lance O. Smith.

Jim worked at various jobs. He worked at Wix Dana Manufacturing Plant from 1989 until 2003. In 2005, Jim started working in state government at the Office of Personal Management as an administrative assistant. Jim retired in 2019 from the Oklahoma Health Authority.

Jim’s passion was singing in the choir. Jim’s approach to life always came with laughter and a smile. Jim’s other hobbies included cooking, playing cards and dancing.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Mosley; his father, Troy Lee Mosley; his brothers, Troy Lynn Mosley and Gerald Thomas Mosley and a sister, Lillie Margaret Mosley Houston.

Surviving Jim are his sister, Roberta Karlene Mosley; longtime friend, Jerome McBride; adopted mother, Etha Hornbeck and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, grand nephew, cousins, friends, extended family and church friends.
