John Dale Durbin

John Dale Durbin, Wewoka area resident, passed away June 22, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital Midwest in Midwest City at the age of 73.

John was born Jan. 4, 1948 to Sarah Kay and Corney Durbin in Holdenville, OK He grew up helping his family on the farm. John graduated from Moss High School. He later worked as a welder for many years. John was a devoted husband and father.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years Dorothy, of the home; three daughters, Aaryn Merriman and husband Aaron, Tina Joiner and husband Paul of Holdenville, OK and Sharon Pettie and husband Keith of Kingston, OK; nine grandkids and 25 great-grandkids along with several more family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Larry and sister, Carolyn and daughter, Twyla.

John will be deeply missed and always remembered by many.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at The Church of the Nazarene, 323 South Oak in Holdenville with a dinner to follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
