John Paul James Sr passed away on Saturday, January 6th at St Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 66.
He was born February 13th, 1951 to Missionaries Dr. John Dixon and Roxie (Capes) James. John Paul began preaching with his parents at the age of two years old. He was a citizen of the Chickasaw nation, as was his mother Roxie and his grandmother Ida Anoatubby Capes. Like his parents, John Paul could speak many languages including Chickasaw, Comanche, Kiowa, Spanish, and Chinese. He loved the Lord, his family and his friends.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John Paul Jr and Christi James of Longview, Texas, his daughters Johnna James and Thalia Payne, both of Chickasha, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charlie James and sister Kathy James.
