John L. DuBois

Beloved son, John L. DuBois, passed away on August 20, 2022, just two weeks shy of his 56th birthday.

John had a rough life, but always strived to be a better person. He was an Army brat, attending numerous schools. He received an Associate Degree in Arts from Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma. He enjoyed working in his yard and keeping up with the numerous repairs to his home. He was known to say “It’s a five-minute job, mom” that could stretch for hours or days.

John is survived by his mother Mary Turner, stepfather Jerry Turner, brother Larry V. DuBois, sister Michele Slane, aunts Ellen Barger & Dawn (Bob) Corser, uncles Mike Rowan, Jim (Jeri) Rowan, Larry (Gabriel) Rowan, Denny (Helise) Rowan, Buzz Turner, & Terry Turner, beloved dog Jazzy, and many nephews and one niece & numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Larry A. DuBois, grandparents John & Marietta Rowan and June & Vance DuBois, uncles John, Tim, & Terry Rowan, aunt Connie Jacobs, and Poppy.

Private family memorial will be held on August 27th, 2022.
