Josiane "Josi" Nadine (Desbord) Garrison

Josiane “Josi” Nadine Garrison passed away April 6, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 71.

Josi was born January 28, 1946 in Angouleme Soyaux, France to George and Paulette (Vinseneau) Desbord.

Josi married William “Bill” Edward Garrison on June 8, 1968 in Chester, Maryland and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2013. Josi worked at Walmart for 18 years first as the Pet Department Manager and later she was a door greeter.

Josi loved to cook and feed people. Some of her best dishes were meatballs and stuffed potatoes, cheescake and Coq Au Vin. She was also a devoted Army wife of over 22 years.

Josi is survived by her children, Lewis Garrison and his wife Lisa of Oklahoma City; Tricia Ferguson and her husband Tim of Watonga; Beatrice Headley and her husband Tom of Batavia, OH and Michael Stacy and his wife Jackie of Liberty Township, OH; grandchildren, Tindel Garrison and wife Kirsten, Laryn Garrison, Shayla Young and fiance Justin, Hayden Young, Joshua Taylor and wife Becca, Cody Fergurson and wife Timarie, Jayde Ferguson, TJ Headley and wife Sara, Joshua Headley and Sidney Stacy; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Hayden, and Jaxxon; two sisters, Micheline Richards Lonis and husband Gordon of Cuyhoga Falls, OH and Joelle Daullon of France; two brothers, Jackie Desbord and Jean-Michael Desbord both of France and a host of extended family, church family and countless friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jean-Claude Desbord and sister-in-law, Judy Garrison.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin.

In lieu of flowers can be made to the Lupus Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
