Katheryn "Eloise" (Walker) Gibbes

Katheryn “Eloise” Walker Gibbes went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 30, 2017.
Eloise was born August 19, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas to Robert Woodrow and Dollie Faye (Melton) Walker. She was known as Eloise, and to her close friends, "Ellie" and to her grandchildren as, “Grammy”.
Eloise graduated from Southwestern High School and attended college at Southern Nazarene University. She worked in the medical field as a surgical nurse and later as a business owner along with her husband, Drayton. She loved laughter and loved Jesus. All who knew her had their lives changed by her exhilarating laugh and smile. She brought fun, joy and care to all her grandchildren including teaching them to trust in God.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Charles Drayton Gibbes; two sons, Michael Drayton Gibbes of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Stephen Keith Gibbes of Oklahoma City and three beautiful grandchildren, Phillip Drayton “Sport” Gibbes, Breanna Drael Gibbes and Victoria Hope Gibbes.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Woodrow and Dollie Faye Walker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Christ’s Legacy Church, 11101 N. Morgan Road, Oklahoma City (just west of NW Expressway and Kilpatrick Turnpike).
