Kay Arlene Fender (Yoder) of Norman, Oklahoma gained her angel wings on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the age of 73.
Kay was born in Ohio on August 15th, 1947 to Ivan and Hazel Yoder (Robenstine). On her high school bus route, she met her husband, Thomas Fender. The two were united in marriage on July 30, 1966 and had two children — Pamela and Jeffrey. The family went on to relocate to Norman, Oklahoma, where Kay worked in the Bursar’s office of the University of Oklahoma for over 20 years. She was a member of Crosspointe Church in Norman, OK. Kay enjoyed watching all OU sports, especially football, Cleveland Browns football as well as Cleveland Indians baseball. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else in the world.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband.
Those who survive her are, one Daughter; Pamela Nagy and husband Robert of North Carolina, one Son; Jeffrey Fender and wife Christina of Norman, two Brothers; Arnie Yoder (Vicky) of Ohio, Marvin Yoder (Francene) of Ohio, one Sister; Krystal Wigal (Mark) of Ohio, four grandchildren; Britton (Keanan), Kersten (Daniel) and Caylon (Clare) Nagy, and Hailey Fender, her cat and numerous other relatives and friends.
Oklahoma Remembrance Service will be held at Crosspointe Church in Norman, OK on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Visitation 3:00pm, Service 3:30pm. Officiating: Scott Berglan
Ohio Memorial and Burial Service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, March 29, 2021 at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7920 Frank Rd. NW, Canton, Ohio. Officiating: Wayne Slusser
