Ke’Andre La’Juan Johnson affectionately known as “Madd Max” passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 26 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Ke’Andre was an outstanding person who was well-mannered, respectful, loving, outspoken, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a heart of gold and cared deeply about the people around him.
Ke’Andre was also very opinionated. If there was someone or something he did not like, he never wasted time letting you know. He was a great debater, and if he believed he was right, he was going to prove his point. He would grab a dictionary or look it up online just to prove his argument. If he discovered he was wrong, he would always admit it. That honesty, confidence, and willingness to stand firmly in what he believed were simply part of who Ke’Andre was.
Ke’Andre had his own spiritual journey throughout his life. In 2012, he accepted salvation, beginning an important part of his faith journey. In 2021, after reflecting deeply on his beliefs, Ke’Andre decided that Islam was the faith he felt was true for him. His faith was a personal part of his journey, and his family honors and respects the path he chose.
Family meant everything to Ke’Andre. He loved his siblings and would do anything to make them smile. If he was ever mad at you, it never lasted long. No matter what, Ke’Andre was always about family.
His love extended especially to his many nieces and nephews, who looked up to him. They knew that whenever Uncle Ke’Andre came around, it was time to have fun, and it was probably time to eat whatever he had created in the kitchen. The laughter, food, love, and memories they shared with him will forever be treasured.
Ke’Andre began playing football at the age of 7 and continued playing throughout his school years, including high school. In 2018, he proudly graduated from EPIC Charter School, an accomplishment he was very proud of.
Ke’Andre loved fishing, making music, and putting together his outfits. He had a shoe collection that was out of this world, and he took pride in making sure his shoes matched his outfits perfectly.
Whatever Ke’Andre wanted to accomplish, he gave it more than 100 percent. He was determined, passionate, and never afraid to be himself. Above all, Ke’Andre was a loving father to his son, Rayshaun Alexander, who will forever carry his father’s love and legacy with him.
Ke’Andre leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved mother, Lakeshia Rose and her husband, Secdrick Rose; his father, Andre Ellison; his son Rayshaun Alexander; his sisters; Mariesha Ayers, Mi’Yonna Johnson, and Raquel Rose; his brother Ke’Aunce Johnson; his stepsisters Ebony Rose, Stacianea Rose, and Kathryn Rose; his god brother Julius Cargile; and his god sister Trasandra Carson.
He will also be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his great-grandmother, Mary Johnson; grandparents, Frances Dumas and her husband, Billy Dumas; Stanley Jackson and his wife, Carolyn Jackson; Rhonda Knuckles and her husband, Tim; and Kathryn Hines.
Ke’Andre leaves a special place in the hearts of his great-aunts, Gerri Rose and Bird, and his aunts, Ebony Roberts and her husband, OC Roberts, and Lovenique Penn. He will also be lovingly remembered by his uncles, Shauncey Rose, Antonio “Superman” Rose, Terrace Rose; Tirrell Johnson and his wife, Alicia; Kevin Wright, Marcus Ellison; and Lovell Ellison.
Ke’Andre was surrounded by a large circle of family and friends who loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed by a host of cousins and friends, along with many nieces and nephews who looked up to him and cherished every moment they spent with him.
Ke’Andre was preceded in death by his beloved God sister, N’Kya Cargile; great-grandmother, Pearly Jackson, great-uncles, Dennis Jackson and Samuel Jackson; and great-aunt, Sheila Jackson.
To know Ke’Andre was to know someone who could make you laugh, challenge your thinking, help you when you needed him, and tell you exactly what was on his mind.
His life may have been far too short, but the love he gave, the memories he created, the music he made, the meals he cooked, the debates he had, and the countless moments he shared with his family and friends will live on forever.
Ke’Andre will be missed more than words can express by everyone whose life he touched.
