Kenneth Weldon Stalnaker

September 13, 1929 — June 7, 2017

Kenneth Weldon Stalnaker, longtime Maud resident, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 87.

He was born September 13, 1929 in Oklahoma City to Cecil and Bernice (Harding) Stalnaker.

Kenneth married Bernice Fletcher on February 18, 1950 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

He spent many years working in the oilfield. He owned and operated his tank truck service in Maud for several years. Kenneth enjoyed being in the oilfield and around the wells.

He also enjoyed visiting with the local town folks, watching football and witnessing for the Lord. He prayed for others even while he was in the hospital.

Kenneth loved following his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. His greatest love was for his wife and children.

He is survived by his loving wife Bernice; son, Mike Stalnaker and wife Sharita; two daughters, Arlene Parrish and Darlene Burton and husband Pat; grandchildren, Amber Eversole, Tammy Remington, Rickey Whisenhunt, Wayne Peairson, Brandon Stalnaker, Shannon Adams and Ben Fox whom he loved like a grandchild; great-grandchildren, Madison Remington, Charley Eversole, Grant Remington, Harper Adams, Gentri Adams, Jay Eversole, MJ Eversole, Tyler Stalnaker, Sierra Stalnaker, Dillon Stalnaker, Tegun Stalnaker and Kynna Stalnaker; two sisters, Carolyn Logan and Dolores Haberman, both of Oregon and a host of other family and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Maud with Pastor Bobby Shatto officiating.
