Kevin Charles Berry

Kevin Charles Berry, affectionately known to all as "Red Man," passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at the age of 61 in his childhood home in Oklahoma City. Born on March 1, 1965, to the late Cleatus and Queen Berry, Kevin attended Northeast High School and spent his life bringing warmth, laughter, and family together.

A hard worker known for his years at Pioneer, Kevin was a natural teacher, protector, and cornerstone for his loved ones. Whether teaching kids to drive, taking them fishing, or cooking breakfast "Family Style", he showed love through quality time. With his big smile, deep hugs, humor, and signature greeting, "Aweee, there go my baby!", he made everyone feel cherished.

Kevin married Karen Berry, with whom he shared his son, Kevin Merritt. He was also blessed with his daughter, Rebekah Williams, and stepped up as a loving, steady father figure to his stepchildren & niece for decades.

He is survived by his children, Kevin Merritt and Rebekah Williams; sister, Carolyn Berry; niece, Shelby Berry Coleman; great-niece, Romiyah Miller, and great-nephew, Renaldo Miller; and stepchildren, Jermaine Lewis, Vegas Merritt, Dana Baker, Shandel Baker, Aleedra Baker and grandchildren.

Oklahoma City won't be the same without Red Man, but his legacy lives on in the family he taught, fed, and loved with all his heart.
