Kris Carol Martinez was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on May 11, 1961.
Kris Gambill was her maiden name and she graduated from Tuttle High School. In her earlier years she rode horses, excelled in school, baby sat for neighbors, and lived your normal small town peaceful life. Once Kris became an adult, she traveled the world and saw the most beautiful places and did the most wonderful things. She lived abroad in Germany while her husband was deployed in the military. She was a devoted wife, dog mom to Prissy and a wonderful aunt at that point in her life. She went anywhere and every where abroad: Germany, The United Kingdom, Italy, you name it she’s been there. When she moved back to the United States she lived in Tuttle, Oklahoma for a while then Oklahoma City, then back home to Tuttle. Her dog Prissy was her first baby, she had that dog for 25 years and it traveled with her to everywhere she went, she even painted her nails, fed her steak and treated her like a baby. She was under the impression of she was unable to have children but then she became a wonderful mother at the age of 40 and had a daughter, Sierra Lopez. Kris was a wise, kind and patient mother the best anyone could ask for.
Her daughter and her would do fun stuff like go out to eat, go to the flea market, garage sales, casino. They were always together and if they weren’t together they were on the phone with one another. Sierra than blessed her with her first granddaughter, Janae Lopez. She was then promoted to "Granny" and she loved her baby "bump bump" more than life. If you talked to her she would talk your ear off about her beautiful, smart grand-baby. She would watch her every Friday spoiling her rotten! They would play, laugh, sing and talk away.
Once she retired she began to collect antiques, artifacts and treasures that reminded her of her travels. She loved going to thrift stores every week searching for new collectibles or toys for her grand-baby. If you were lucky enough to know Kris, you know she was a kind soul, selfless and free spirit who loved to travel. She was so loving, so wise and full of life. She was truly inspirational. Her rejuvenating uplifting character was unimaginable, and she touched the hearts of those around her.
