Linda Kaye DeLozier Harting, passed away peacefully at her home in Choctaw, OK on September 7, 2025, almost two years after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Born in Oklahoma City, August 31, 1954, Linda was the daughter of Dan & Barbara DeLozier. The family settled in Nicoma Park/Choctaw area where Linda grew up and had many, many friend and acquaintances. She graduated from Choctaw High School in 1972, where she met, fell in love and married her prince, Leslie Gene Harting. They were married for 53 years.
Linda is survived by her husband Gene, daughter Kristee Stafford (husband Marshall) and son Daniel Harting, grandchildren Lauryn Melot (Deven), Natalie Bowman (Michael), Mackenna, Mandalynn, Trenton, Blaine, Lillianna, and great-grandchildren Caiden, Kole, and Denver, as well as her brother Danny DeLozier (Holly). Also, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Angela DeLozier. Linda was the heart and soul of her family, a true Matriarch. Linda rarely missed an activity or sport that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were involved in for over 45 years. Whether it was rodeo, baseball, basketball, golf, football, beauty pageants, or even mutton busting, Linda Showed up with a proud smile on her face. The kids all called her Nuni.
At an early age, Linda distinguished herself among her peers by her intelligence, kindness, and friendly personality. She was by nature easy to approach, generous in her judgement of others and tolerant of differences of opinion. She always took time to greet individuals, look them in the eye and make them feel welcomed. She made sure no one was forgotten or left behind.
Linda was a professional representative for Estee Lauder Cosmetics Company for much of her career. She traveled to a three-state area, training Estee Lauder Cosmetics employees, as their education coordinator. She later became a business manager for the company. A passion Linda had was to ensure that ever women, regardless of their circumstances, felt valued and included. She was about increase their self-esteem through teaching them skincare, hygiene and cosmetic use. She was about to make them feel beautiful!
Community involvement was a big part of Linda's life. She volunteered for over 30 years with the Choctaw High School 1972 Alumni Group as Class Treasurer. She served on the Choctaw Alumni Association Board of Directors. Most recently, Linda was honored to have been chosen to serve on the Choctaw Nicoma Park Schools Museum Association Board. She was then elected to Treasurer of the Board, a role she held at the time of her death. As a longtime member of Bethel Christian Center , she worshipped and participated in Christian fellowship. She was a believer, she prayed, and she was witnessed. Some of the things she loved the most were organizing big events, fundraising, selling products, decorating auction tables, baseball, apple pie, and People.
She just loved people!
