Luther "L.E." Oliver

Luther “L.E.” Oliver, longtime Seminole County resident, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at his residence in Seminole at the age of 87.
L.E. was born April 20, 1930 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Ulysses Luther and Elta E. (Moore) Oliver. He attended school in Amber, OK.
L.E. married Betty (Britt) on December 4, 1956 in Monticello, KY. To this union were three children, Melody, Lindey and Eric.
He worked as a lineman for many years with Sterling Construction Company and later retired from Henkels & McCoy Powerline Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing, especially setting trot lines, camping and watching football.
Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Betty of the home; two daughters, Melody Inman and husband Roger of Shawnee and Lindey Keen and husband Danny of Seminole; son, Eric Oliver and husband David Disbrow of McLoud; granddaughter whom he and Betty help raise, Amber Derk and husband Gary; granddaughters, Jennifer Alumbaugh and Ashleigh Inman; grandson, Scotty Keen and three great-grandchildren, Karter White, Spencer Derk and Peyton Alumbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, U.L. and Elta Oliver.
Private services will be held at Little Cemetery and are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
