Lynnette Sue Myers (McWhorter), age 70, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 18th, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on October 10, 1955, in Borger, Texas, to Frankie Louise Ledbetter Garver and Richard Beryl McWhorter.
Lynnette, known to many as “Lynn,” spent a large portion of her life working for Walmart, relocating many times in dedication to the company. Her life was firmly rooted in her love for Jesus, and she lived that faith daily through compassion, forgiveness, and grace. She loved people deeply and genuinely, meeting others where they were and loving them in spite of their flaws, just as she believed Christ calls us to do.
Family meant everything to Lynn. She had a tender way of speaking to people often calling them “angel” and “precious,” words that perfectly reflected her gentle and loving spirit. She spent much of her time studying the Bible, working crossword puzzles, quilting, and enjoying various crafts.
She is survived by her children: daughter Kimberly Dawn Myers; daughter Cylinda Sue Crews (Case) and husband Brandon Crews; and son Richard Harrison Myers and wife Tammy Myers. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Phoenix, Santana, Jayden, Dakota, Austin, Candra, Brandi, and Eliana; and her great-grandchildren: Kathleen, Nahni, Avalyn, Kashton, Kyler, and Bryton.
Lynnette is further survived by her sisters: Deborah Kay Stratton; Glenda Ray Cordale; Ricki Jean Looney; and Faith Garver Campbell and husband William Patrick Campbell, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie Louise Ledbetter Garver and Richard Beryl McWhorter; her brother, Tommy; her grandson, LeShaun; her granddaughter, Lisa; and her brothers-in-law: Charles Allen Stratton, Leon Looney, and Waylon Cordale.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”— Matthew 25:21
