Marcella “Marcy” Jo Nitzel passed away in her home in Anadarko, Oklahoma on June 8th, 2023, at the age of 54.
Marcy was born to Mary Jo (DeBaun) Persinger in Fresno, California on October 25, 1968.
Marcy grew up in Watonga, Oklahoma and would go on to live in various places before settling in Wichita, Kansas later in life. Marcy pursued a career in cosmetology at a young age before finding her passion for nursing. She then started her lifetime career in nursing for thirty-one years working her way up to many managerial roles. Shortly after moving to Wichita, Kansas she began her journey with Ascension Via Christi HOPE in the home care department. It was her pride and joy to work as the Home Care Scheduling Coordinator for twelve years and aid in its growth. She was known for her words of endearment such as honey, dear, and sweety. Marcy was genuine, hardworking, and self-sacrificing. She was an avid OSU fan. Marcy was always up for a good time and cold beer with friends and family.
She is preceded by her mother Mary Jo (DeBaun) Persinger, dad Floyd “Joe” Persinger, and father Jimmy Wayne Hoover.
Marcy is survived by her son Vincent (Cathy) Kochenower, daughter Ciara (Kolby) Kilhoffer, grandchildren Destiny Hall, Hunter Kochenower, and Kayslie & Kambrie Kilhoffer, brother Richard Hoover, sister Samantha Riley, chosen sisters Lonna Mowles, Tandy Sammer, & Lisa Twietmeyer and many other beloved family members and friends.
She will be missed by all that she touched through work and all that knew her.
